The second stakeholder forum of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership (AEEP) was held on May 16th and 17th, 2016 in Milan, Italy. This is a triennial strategic dialogue event that was launched in 2007 by all African and European Heads of State and their governments. The Milan Forum was jointly organized by the AEEP, the Italian Government, the African Union Commission (AUC) and the European Commission. Under the overall theme of ‘Business and Science: Leading the Way to Sustainable Energy’, the forum focused on how to advance renewable energy innovation, capacity building and investment.
The organizers of the event awarded NETFUND full sponsorship to exhibit the excellence of Magiro Hydro-electric Power, PAK Fabricators and Iten Jua Kali. These innovations attracted a lot of interest especially from fellow entrepreneurs and technological institutions some of whom committed to follow-up with NETFUND and the innovators directly. Among these was Renato Nistri, CEO of BioenTech who was keen to pilot his new carbonization technology in collaboration with PAK fabricators.
NETFUND’s Director of Business Development, Mrs. Phyllis Ombonyo, attended the event.
